    Responsibilities

    Small corporate video production studio looking for a creative videographer. Someone who is resourceful, self-motivated, a team player, and a hard worker. The primary role for this position is to create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content from our client’s conception to final completion. This person must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and must be able to work on tight deadlines while still maintaining a positive attitude. The job involves working in tandem with our clients to create and deliver final corporate video programs. Directing both live and scripted video projects, both as part of a crew and as an individual, and editing and finishing the final program in a supervised and unsupervised environment.


    Additional daily activities that this person will need to carry out and/or be willing to learn: some scripting & development with clients, attending meetings, communicating with clients and production/post-production team, some casting of talent, set building, encoding for broadcast within the company.

     

    General Responsibilities in between productions include upkeep of studio, organization of equipment, and backup and archiving of projects and related files.

    Qualifications

     

    • At least 2 years of Audio Visual experience in a corporate setting
    • Experience with Avid Media Composer and a familiarity with the basic video effects and audio plug-ins
    • Significant experience with editing and sound design
    • Experience directing both live and scripted shoots, both as part of a crew and as an individual
    • Experience directing both professional talent as well as non-professional on-screen talent with limited-to-no acting experience
    • Experience with script editing and breakdown
    • Broad understanding of lighting techniques including basic 3-point lighting concepts, electrical limitations, color balancing, and shooting outdoors
    • Ability to determine how long it will take a project to be shot and edited to aide department head in creating budgets / quotes
    • Experience with various cameras and manual lenses, ideally the Canon C-series.
    • Experience with both Mac and PC operating systems
    • Strong Sense of Workplace Safety, sometimes handling high voltage wiring, heavy lifting, and working several feet above the ground
    • Ability to be flexible with plans in high-pressure situations, often with tight deadlines and several clients
    • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
