    Shift: Wed - Fri -- 1:30 - 10:00 PM & Sat - Sun ----3:30 - 12:00 PM

    Responsibilities: Internal / External messenger dispatching using vendor's online system. Receiving packages and keep log for accountability. Process internal page calls.
    • Receive delivery and/or pick-up request from clients. Evaluate if an outside messenger agency is warranted during peak periods or for urgent deliveries.
    • Coordinate outside messenger runs. Sort packages according to location and level of urgency. Organize and consolidate messenger runs to have the most efficient delivery in terms of time driving and transportation costs.
    • Keep in close communication with messengers when they are out on runs. Ensure messengers have obtained proper proof of deliveries (signature, printed name, date and time).   Handle problems that occur with delivery of packages and/or troubleshoot.
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items received by messenger.
    • May maintain petty cash and perform other duties as requested by the Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager.
    • Prepare monthly production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.May perform any of the following functions:
    • Sort, deliver and pick up mail and packages.
    • Process outgoing mail and packages.
    • Prepare mail/packages for shipping orders and maintain supplies.


    KNOWLEDGEFull knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with 
      and understanding of general aspects of the job with a 
      broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. 
    EQUIPMENTGood knowledge of how to use dispatcher radios, pagers,
    PROFICIENCY2-way cell phones for constant communication with 
      messenger. Use of internet to access alternative routes 
      when there are traffic jams or accidents.  
    SUPERVISIONGeneral supervision and instructions given for routine 
    RECEIVED work and detailed instructions given for new activities 
      or special assignments.   
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 yrs experience
      working directly in as a dispatcher plus 1-2 yrs in a 
      messenger capacity.   
    BASIC SKILLSExcellent customer service, professional attiude and 
      appearance is a must. Ability to work overtime & meet 
      deadlines. Ability to follow directives.  Possess strong 
      oral communication skills.
