Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

3rd Shift Weekend - 16 hours

 

 

 

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Responsibilities depend on hospital needs.
  • Works with the Receiving & other Shift Supervisors/Managers, Inventory Control Analysts and Customer Service Specialists with requests for priority services and to report issues.
  • Must be detail, action, and results oriented.
  • Must demonstrate mature judgment in managing responsibilities.
  • Requires specialized expertise in the CHOP processes, methods, and skills related to inventory management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive and unpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO’s) for delivery.
  • Prepare orders for return-to-vendor shipment.
  • Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment.
  • Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming.
  • Prepare daily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges.
  • Contact Receiving Supervisor & Shift Managers to report issues and updates.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 80-100% Receiving Tech Duties
  • 0-20% Continuous Process Improvement, Training, Guiding and Mentoring
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Repetitive motion
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs.
  • Walking, standing for extended periods of time

·         Mental qualifications include ability to perform all responsibilities efficiently and effectively

·         Good organizational skills

·    High school Diploma or equivalent                   

·    0-1 year experience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment.

·    Some knowledge of the job.

·    Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job

·    Knowledge & application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot-synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts).                    

·    Close supervision involving detailed instructions and contact checking of work performance.                     

·    Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must.

·    Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines.
